Strategic Business Development Job Overview:  Commission-based sales position with a goal of developing relationships with new and existing customers to turn an interest or need of HIS services/products into a commitment to purchase.

Location:  negotiable in central or coastal South Carolina

 Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a sales strategy for assigned territory.

  • Become an expert on features and opportunities of Automated Logic and other vendor lines offered by Harris Integrated Solutions.

  • Build relationships with existing and prospective customers to enhance opportunities for presenting building automation solutions to save energy and manage related costs.

  • Provide customer service and follow-up with existing customers to assure satisfaction with installations, offer extended warranty opportunities and create positive position for future projects.

  • Stay aware of industry trends and developments to be able to effectively communicate with customers.

  • Develop relationships with consulting engineers and mechanical contractors to build ALC awareness. Utilize available tools (ALC System Demonstration, Design spec builder, Energy Reports, etc.) to solidify ALC position.

  • Work with Estimating Department in gathering necessary information and preparing proposals, responses and contract documentation.

  • Maintain a professional presentation both in appearance and in written and verbal communication.

     Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in BAS, DDC or HVAC controls.

  • Knowledgeable in DDC control theory applications pertaining to the HVAC industry.

  • Personality and ability to serve energy-saving consultant role with existing and potential customers

  • Experience with Automated Logic product line preferred.

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is a plus.

  • Strong communication & presentation skills.

  • Strong ability to solve the financial and business problems for customers by providing high level mechanical solutions in a conceptual manner.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Possess and maintain valid state motor vehicle license and safe driving record as required by company’s insurance provider.
